Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH)

Overview

This department was created to address water services, environmental sanitation and hygiene needs within Jos North Local Government Area. Due to its cosmopolitan nature and high population density, the department focuses on water point maintenance, sanitation enforcement and hygiene education. It is structured into Monitoring and Evaluation, Water, Sanitation, Hygiene and Mobilization units. Through routine inspections, community engagement and collaboration with development partners, the WASH Department promotes a clean and healthy environment.
