The people of Ali Kazaure community in Jos North Local Government Area erupted in jubilation as the Executive Chairman, Barr. John K Christopher, delivered on his promise to improve the electricity supply in the area.
The recently installed transformer was met with ululations and dancing as residents finally saw an end to their prolonged power struggles.
Until the transformer arrived, residents had lived with the constant frustration of blackouts, struggling to keep their businesses afloat and studying children disadvantaged by poor lighting.
Speaking on behalf of the Executive Chairman, Deputy Chairman Hon. Sani Muhammad Garkuwa explained that the installation of transformers across the Local Government aims to enhance electricity supply, boost economic activities, and improve residents' quality of life.
"The new transformer marks a new dawn for this community, and we're committed to delivering more projects that touch lives and enabling the grassrootsto enjoythe dividendsofdemocracy, " he added.
He appreciated the efforts of stakeholders in the area for their tireless efforts in ensuring the transformer became a reality. "This is a testament to what can be achieved when leaders work together with their people," he said.
As the transformer was installed, residents showered praises on Barr. Christopher, his deputy, and other leaders worked tirelessly to bring power back to their community. "You've shown us that our voices matter," one resident said, echoing the sentiments of many who appreciated the administration's responsiveness to their complaints.
Leader of the Community, Alh. Ali Ibrahim a proud resident, said, "We've waited too long for this moment. We're grateful to the Executive Chairman and his deputy for listening to our cries and delivering."
The Ali Kazaure transformer project is part of Jos North LGC's broader initiative to improve infrastructure and services across the local government area.
